Vintage 9ct Unoaerre rope and heart necklace - just so special

There is so much to love about this one. A beautifully twisted vintage rope chain, leading to those incredible intertwined puffed gold circles at the centre — and then, hanging below, the most deliciously plump golden heart.

Made by Unoaerre, one of Italy’s most celebrated gold jewellery houses, this is exactly why vintage pieces bearing their name have become so collectable. Founded in Arezzo in 1926, Unoaerre built its reputation on exceptional Italian goldsmithing, clever construction and designs that made gold feel wonderfully luxurious. Finding their more unusual vintage pieces is always exciting, and this necklace is particularly special.

The proportions are just right. The rope chain has beautiful presence around the neck, while the sculptural centre detail makes it feel far more interesting than a traditional heart necklace. And that heart! Smooth, rounded and gloriously puffy, it moves freely from the central rings and sits beautifully when worn.

Finished with a secure lobster clasp and unmistakably vintage Italian in its design, this is Unoaerre at its joyful best. Romantic without being overly pretty, cool enough for every day — and very, very hard to resist.
