This spectacular sterling silver San Marco necklace is bold, sculptural and beautifully fluid. Named for Venice’s magnificent Piazza San Marco, the design is often romantically linked to the architecture and bridges of the city, its repeating curved forms creating a continuous, almost architectural sweep around the neck.
Look closely at the construction and you’ll understand why San Marco necklaces are so distinctive. Rather than conventional chain links, each rounded section is individually articulated and connected to the next, allowing the necklace to flex, roll and move as one beautifully fluid piece.
And this one is even more special. Each link alternates between two finishes — one sleek and mirror-polished, the next finely textured with a shimmering surface. The effect gives incredible depth and emphasises every curve.
At 42cm, it sits beautifully at the base of the neck, with links graduating from approximately 1cm to a fabulous 1.6cm at the centre. At 55.6g, there is a glorious amount of sterling silver here.
